UK Intimate-Skincare Brand: From £20k to £50k in Monthly Revenue in 60 Days

A UK intimate-skincare brand had stalled at £20k a month. Sixty days after we started, it was at £50k a month and its email list was 30% larger.

Overview

The founder started the brand to make intimate skincare a normal part of a routine. The product is a simple skincare routine, bought mostly by women. Within a few months of launch the store went from zero to around £20,000 a month in revenue.

Challenge

Then growth stopped. Revenue held at around £20,000 a month, and the founder wanted someone to take the business apart, find where it was losing customers and fix those gaps.

Intimate skincare is a hard category to advertise. People scroll past it, and a brand in a new category has to explain what the product is before it can sell it. The ads needed to stop the scroll and make the product feel normal, and the store needed to convert the attention those ads bought.

Strategy

  • Facebook ads for new-customer acquisition
  • Creatives built to stop the scroll in a category people ignore
  • Conversion rate optimisation on the store
  • Email list growth alongside the paid traffic

The ads, the store and the follow-up by email each had to do their part, because a stronger ad does little if the page it sends people to loses them.

On the creative side, we built pattern-interrupting ads written around how buyers decide. On the store, we worked on conversion so that more of the new traffic turned into orders, and the email list grew with it, keeping visitors who were not ready to buy within reach.

Results

Within 60 days, monthly revenue rose from £20,000 to £50,000, two and a half times where it started. The email list grew by 30% over the same period.

Conclusion

The growth came from what sat around the product: ads that earned attention in a category people scroll past, and a store that turned that attention into orders.
